Save it 🔖 Share your favorites 🔃 It’s most likely that I’m not the most important person in your life; but I hope that when you hear my name you can smile and say “Hey! That’s my friend!” 🤜🏼🤛🏼 It was a privilege to speak at the annual New Mexico Higher Education Assessment and Retention Conference in ABQ, talking workforce development alongside colleagues from across the state. Thank you Todd DeKay for the invitation. As I said during our We have been offering workforce development trainings at New Mexico Junior College for over 19 years but we haven’t been the best at telling our story. We’ve been doing all we can to change that! If you’re not following us yet, come You know who I’m rooting for? It’s YOU! Yes! You! Seriously. You have a purpose; a gift; and something to offer the world! There is enough out there for all of us to eat, to succeed. Other people’s wins are not your loses. Applaudin Heights don’t bother me. Looking over the edge — now that’s a different story! So, doing TILT at @360chicago last year…my palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms were heavy.. (you get it!)…. It’s on the 94th floor of (Nicolas Cage voice) I’m gonna steal it…….. I’m gonna steal the Declaration of Independence. I’ve spoken for the @cityofhobbsnm several times over the years but this one felt different. Trying new presentation elements & tools; launching a fresh topic; and facilitating discussions on subjects often ignored in the workplace. Challen It was a privilege to spend time this week with the leadership team at @firstamericanbanknm, speaking on “Generational Differences” — from the CEO to senior leaders to branch managers representing all 22 locations in TX & NM. This gives you a broad overview of some of the things we offer through @nmjc_workforce. We offer short-term trainings that lead to industry wide certifications, that lead to high wage job opportunities.
